Time For Giving

Good Morning Everyone,

How are you all??

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Fab n Funky Challenge Blog.

This weeks theme is:

CHRISTMAS

I no I let a little groan out as well when I seen it, but do you know when I made it, it was really fun to do, no stress on it, and I certainly wasn't sick of the colours.

This week the challenge is sponsored by Delicious Doodles and I used the digital stamp Penguin with Presents

The card is a A4 white card stock from the paper mill folded in half, matted with red card stock again from the paper mill.

The backing paper is from the papermania Christmas Collection from Do Crafts.

The embossing is from a Cuttlebug Embossing folder.

The image has been coloured in using promarker pens
*Penguin - Warm Grey 5,4, and 3
*Presents, Forest Green, Burgundy, Ruby, Poppy, and Gold

The edge has been cut using a Martha Stewart punch, sorry I don't know what the name of it is, as I through the package away, I will try and find it for you.

I completed the card with a sentiment that I took from the Crafters Companion, Mulberry Wood - Giving stamp plate

I used my Cricut Machine to cut the poinsettia  and leaves, the poinsettia is from the Noel Cartridge and the Leaves are from the Wild Card Cartridge.

The Challenges I am entering this into are:

Christmas Card Challenge - #9 Anything Goes -02/02
Pile It On - #4 Animal - 02/02

That's it for me
Thanks for looking in

It's A Mans World

Good Evening Everyone,

Today I have for you a card that I made for my dad for his birthday that he celebrated yesterday.

I always find it really hard to make mens card, and January is a nightmare, as I have three close together to make.

So the card is a 8x8 card blank matted with a backing paper that I printed of the Boofle Cd from Do Crafts.

The stripe paper that is matted on the dark brown card, is printed from the Wellington Cd

Around this section I have used Gardening Twine, and looped it around the border before securing on the back and sticking to the card.

For the corners I used a Cuttlebug Corner Die

The Image is a Lili of The Valley Rubber Stamp - This little cutie is called "Toot Toot"

I have coloured the image in using a selection of Promarkers and Graph' It Marker Pens.

The promarkers are
Scarf - Burgundy, Cardinal Red, Ruby
Arm - Royal Blue
Wheels - Cool Grey 1, 2 and 3
Hair - Warm Grey 1

The Graph' It Markers are
Hat - 3150, 3160 , 3190
Car- 7240, 7250, 7260
Skin- 4120, 4125, 4135

I cut the image out and matted it on a dark brown mat and then matted that onto a Nestabilitie shape called Nobel Rectangles - I got mine from Samuel Taylor (I in no way work for these, but I do use these and not had any problems with them, but obviously you still need to be careful) I believe it is shape 5 and 4 that I used together to create the frame.
I also used Opulant Ovals for the sentiment and the Sentiment is stamped from a sentiment stamp sheet (no idea of the make though sorry)

To finish the card I have added card candi, and gems.

The Challenges I am entering this into are:

A Gem of A Challenge -#111 One for the boys - 01/02
Paper Creators Challenge # 19 Anything Goes - 01/02
Lili of the Valley - Anything Goes - 01/02

Well that is it for me, I hope you like the card and thank you for stopping in.

Happy Birthday !

Good Evening Everyone,

How are we all today?

Today I have for you a card that I made for my Hubby for his birthday last weekend.

I went for something different for me, I went for a no image card, boy was that hard.

The card is an 8x8 card blank and matted and layered using black and white card stock, the backing paper is cut down from a 12x12 scrapbook page. The centre panel is again a white black mat with a white mat that I scored into squares using my score board. I used strip of black card in the centre and used a thin white ribbon to create some texture to the card. The main part of the card is cut using spellbinders, and then I cut little flags out using the same backing paper as the main layer. I used a sentiment stamp from Popcorn bear.  To finish the card I added four black pearls to each corner.

I matted and layered the inside of the card using black card stock and the sentiment was printed onto white card stock, the insert was finished with a stamp of a piece of cake in the bottom corner, which you can just see peeking out in the corner.. I meant to take a photo of the inside but before I did I wrote my card out and didn't want to share what I had wrote to him.. oops.

The challenges I am entering this into are:-

Brown Sugar Challenge - #77 - Anything Goes - 24/01
Creative Fingers Challenge -  # 20 Anything Goes - 24/01
Fussy and Fancy Challenge- #120 Monochromatic - 24/01
Sister Act Card Challenge - #40 Anything Goes - 24/01

Well that is it for me, I hope you like the card like I said something different for me as normally all my cards are stamped and have images on them.

Happy New Something

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is half way inspiration for the Challenge over at Just For Fun.

This months challenge is

This could be: New Home, New Year, New Birth, New Job.

I decided to go with New Year.

Instead of making a card, I decided to go with a bottle cover, I used a Joanna Sheen giraffe stamp, and coloured him in using promarker pens.

I added the completed item, to a bottle of wine.

Now Sadly I have decided to step down from the Just for Fun Design Team, I have had a fab six month with them, but due to commitments at work and a hectic home life at the moment something had to give, and I decided that I would reduce my DT work for a while.

The team have been amazingly friendly and I can tell you have some Fab challenges up and coming so please keep popping over to their blog to see what is going on. I no I am hoping to join in a few of the challenges.

Thanks for stopping in today.
