Naughty Or Nice

Good Morning Everyone,

So I must apologize again for the blog being so quiet. I have not had the heart or the concentration to do any crafting, but I no my little Leo would not want me neglecting all my blogger friends so I am sure I will be back to posting full speed ahead from now on. In fact I am going to schedule a couple of posts tonight ;-)

Today's card is a card that I made for the new challenge over at Fab n Funky.

Gift Bag Delights

Good Morning Everyone,

Sorry the blog has been a bit quiet this week.

Sadly on Tuesday I had to have my dog put to sleep just short of his 8th birthday.  I have had him since 8 weeks and picked up at 5 weeks and visited him all the time whilst I was waiting for him to be strong enough to leave his mum at 8 weeks. He has been through everything with me and has been everywhere with me and done lots of things dogs would not normally do. Including attending our wedding, coming on our honeymoon with us, going on a boat looking for the loch ness monster in Scotland, to going on a boat on the Norfolk broads, he has been in castles, stately homes, stayed in log cabins, cottages, caravans, you name it he has pretty much done it.

So I am starting to feel a bit more human now, and will get my blog up to date asap. Luckily I had scheduled my Wednesday post two weeks ago.

Today is the start of a new challenge over at ECLECTIC ELLAPU, this weeks theme is by the "pink" team and we have chosen

"Anything But A Card"

So I made a gift bag which I gave to my mum with her presents in.

The bag is a brown bag, and has been matted and layered with purple card and backing paper, I hand cut the little flaggy things, but the flower with my cricut machine.

I added a sentiment, a brad in the the middle of the flowers, embossed the top layer of the flower and the little flaggy things.  To finish the bag, I added ribbon around the handles.

So this is it for me, like I said I hope to get back to things soon and I will keep in touch.

Share your Kisses With Me

Good Morning Everyone,

How are you all?

Today I am at work waiting for 5pm to come so I can get home and play with my Cameo machine.

I decided after seeing my mums that I really needed to get one, I have been thinking of getting one for a while but as I already have an expression and over 20 cartridges I wasn't sure. Anyway I was very lucky to get one at a fantastic price which means I can run the two machines together YAY!

So I am so looking forward to getting some "me" time to do some serious cutting with it.

Anyway enough rambling from me. Today is the start of a new challenge over at

Fab 'n' Funky.

This weeks challenge is Valentine/Love Theme and we have have been very lucky to be sponsored by The Paper Shelter!

I picked to use the image called "kisses"

Now for this challenge I decided not to do a card, or scrapbook.

Instead I decided to make a wine bottle cover, which actually manages to fit over a bottle of champagne as well. I decided to do this, so on Friday night when I set the cake and the wine out it will have a handmade thing as well.. I made one at Christmas and my hubby kept commenting on how nice it was and how he really liked it so thought I would go with it again.. get some brownie points especially after purchasing the cameo lol.

So here it is.

The challenges I would like to enter this into are:
613 Avenue Create - #58 - Anything Goes - 16/02
Challenge 4 Everybody - #38 Anything Goes - 16/02

Thank you for stopping in and I hope you are all having a lovely day.

Toot Toot

Good Afternoon Everyone,

How are we all?

Today I have a little project for you, I decided to make my own gift tag for my dad for his birthday.

I couldn't get it to work 100% how I wanted it, but it turned out okay and he loved it, I guess that is the main thing.

The car was cut from Nates ABC cartridge.

Like I said it isn't perfect but he certainly loved it.

Thanks for stopping in

Your My Best Friend

Good Morning Everyone,

So sorry I have not blogged since Sunday, this week has been mental at home and work and time has ran away with me. Luckily it is Friday today which means a bit of shopping and scrap booking.

The card I have today is a card I made for my mums birthday back in January, the card was for my brother to give to her.

I used a 8x8 card blank and matted and layered it with card stock I inked in brown and yellow paper.

The image is from Lili of the Valley and it walked perfectly for my mum as she loves dogs and cats, and when I seen the image, the song by Queen keeps popping into my head "Your my best friend" and all I can do is sing it to myself. Even now while typing this I am singing it to myself.

I used my promarkers and graph' it markers to colour the image in, I used chalk to do the sky and part of the grass.

I added white liquid pearls around the image to give it some texture to the card, I used a nestabilitie corner die, and inked it with yellow and brown, I inked the brown through the die and the yellow over the die cut when I released it.

To finish the card, I added card candi, ribbon, and yellow glitter glue to the center of the flowers on the backing paper.

The challenges that I am entering this into are:

Crafty Girls Challenge - Anything Goes - 18/02
Crafty Ribbons - Anything Goes #75 -  13/02
Addicted to stamps and more - Anything Goes - 12/02
Lili of the Valley - Name that Tune - 03/03 - Name That Tune

That is it for today, hope to see you all back soon.

James Butterflies Birthday Card

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Can you believe that it is February already?

Today is the start of the challenges back over at Eclectic Ellapu and today's challenge is

Today's card is a card I made for my lovely mum who celebrated her birthday on Tuesday.

I decided to do an 8x8 card and go with a blue theme for the colour scheme.

I matted and layered my 8x8 with different backing papers, card stock and embossed the top layer with a butterfly embossing folder I used one of the new crafters companion a4 embossing folder "Butterflies"

The image I have used is from the new launch over at Lili of the Valley and it is James - Butterflies.

I love James he is such a cutie, and looks like a bear I got of my grandparents when I was a child, he was yellow in colour so I decided to call him "Yellow" I still have him safely packaged away so he doesn't get damaged I am thinking he is about 22 years old.

I used nestablilties for the frame around him.

Here is the card

 Close up of the topper

Close up of James

Now I coloured James in using a selection of Graph'It Markers and promarker pens
Graph' It Markers
James - 3190, 3170, 3130, 3110
Butterflies, 7260, 7250, 7240

Promarker
Flowers - Soft Pink, Rose Pink, Pastel  Pink
Grass - Emerald, Lush Green, Forest Green, Grass
Flex marker - Edge James - Soft Aqua.

I then used my chalks to chalk more grass and sky around him, but was looking for a more softer feel then alcohol markers

To finish the card I added Ribbon, a sentiment  and card candi.

The challenges I would like to enter this into are:

Cards Galore Encore Challenge Blog - # 2 Add Gem, Glitter or Candi - 1/03
Hiding In My Craft Room - #135 - Use Blue - 8/02
